PICTURE GALLERY 2 - WILDLIFE
GOLDEN EAGLES
In June 2010 a Golden Eagle chick was fitted with a GPS transmitter to allow its movement to be monitored, as part of a wider project to learn more about the movement and life histories of young golden eagles in Scotland.
The children at Lochinver and Stoer Primary Schools named this young eagle Suilven, after the distinctive local mountain, and they are going to track its progress.
